Concealed Weapons Permit Course
To properly prepare for your concealed weapons permit course please bring a handgun you feel confident handling, aiming, and shooting. Handguns used at the concealed weapons permit gun range can not exceed 12 inches in over all length and can not contain an altered serial number or be fully “automatic.”
During your concealed weapons permit course you will be directed to retrieve your handgun from your vehicle with a minimum of 100 rounds of ammo. No strangers are permitted on the property, which means you must be prepared to fully identify yourself by producing your South Carolina Drivers License or an approved DMV Identification Card.
Upon your arrival at the concealed weapons permit course we will provide you with the following:
(1) South Carolina Concealed Weapons Permit application packet which includes your CWP application form;
(2) You will be required to complete your fingerprint cards;
(3) We will copy your South Carolina Drivers License or approved DMV Identification Card;
(4) A mailing envelope we provide for you to mail to South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) upon successful completion.
Top Gun provides you a completed Fingerprint Card as a free courtesy. Top Gun also provides you a notepad and pen to take notes during the classroom portion of Top Gun’s concealed weapons permit course.
Again, do not bring your handgun or ammo into the classroom. Leave your handgun and ammo in your vehicle until you are directed to retrieve your handgun and ammo for purposes of performing the gun range qualification.
